Frames - almost completed

Its almost 2 weeks since my last blog post and ALOT has happened on our site. 
Our frames have gone up its moving so quickly! 


17 Sept 12 
most of the ground level frames have completed, including the front facade.
Engineered beams above the kitchen area have also been set up

Upper level is almost completed now. Door frames, Main entry pivot door have been delivered. Smart meter installed. Windows from Southern Star delivered.

Most of the ground floor windows and doors have been put in.

construction has begun in the Garage/storage area.
We've also realised that the sliding window/door in our Study had not been what we expected. At the show rooms, the sliding door slides from the right to left. Our sliding window/door has been fitted to slide from the left to the right. This is not a big deal, but it is disruptive to the walk flow in the study, and we may not have a large table in there anymore :( 
We also noticed that the colour selections were wrong:( We wanted our garage colour to be the exactly the same as the showroom at Greenvale. However, it appears that our colour coordinator has made our garage door the same colour as our downpipes - I can't believe we didn't pick these up!! 

We want the White on our garage door.

Instead we have, Colourbond DUNE for our
garage door colour.

This is the render colour around our garage door area.
Its very close to the Colourbond Dune. Just a different shade.

Maybe PD will allow us to make these changes...I'll ask our BC tomorrow, but I know it'd be a long shot.

25th Sept 12
No action in the morning. 
Safety rails have been installed for the roofies in the arvo! WHOOHOO! 

Contacted our BC. Have been advised that there is NO way the sliding window/door in our study can be changed at this stage. Its too late by now. 
Shes also advised that we can't make the changes to our colour selections once we're on site. Apparently the estimator makes ALL orders at the start of our construction.

Looks like we'll have to either get the Study door changed after handover (or live with it)
and maybe get a Timber coat on our garage door from BnD.

26th Sept 12
Roof trusses have been set up and installed. 
Maybe our tiles will be delivered tomorrow and they'll have it all completed by Friday 28th Sept as scheduled.
